St. Petersburg, Fla. — (Sept. 5, 2024) — Primax, a provider of payment processing services and value-added solutions for banks, today announced Bill Hampton has been named president.
In this role, Hampton will be responsible for creating and implementing strategic business plans to further Primax’s position as a leader in the banking marketplace. This will include identifying and pursuing opportunities to generate new business, strategic acquisitions, revenue growth and client retention, among other responsibilities.

With more than 30 years of experience in driving revenue growth, managing financial results and developing go-to-market strategies as a seasoned fintech executive, Hampton brings a proven track record in the financial services industry. Most recently, he served as chief revenue officer at Neural Payments. Previously, at VANTIV/Worldpay, he served as SVP, head of Issuer Solutions. Following FIS’s acquisition of Worldpay, Hampton played a key role in integrating the companies and led the creation of a new line of business with more than 3,300 clients.
Hampton began his career in banking sales at Diebold before moving to Digital Insight (eventually acquired by Intuit), where he honed his sales leadership skills. When Digital Insight was sold to NCR, he drove the successful integration of the two sales teams. Hampton holds a B.S. degree in Journalism and Mass Communication, Advertising and Marketing from Kansas State University.
